In an emotional address, the 55-year-old actress thanked nurse April Buencamimo for fighting coronavirus on the front lines.

She surprised her with her appearance and said: “April, thank you for – I’ll try and say this without crying – but thank you for everything you are doing because we get to sit here and be home with our families because you are out there doing the hard work.”

Then Bulock revealed she had someone who also wanted to thank her. “Thank you April for doing everything for everyone. Stay safe”, little Laila said.

Sandra has two children, a 10-year-old son Louis whom she adopted in 2010 and a daughter Laila whom she adopted in 2015, both born in Louisiana. She spoke emotionally about Laila’s adoption in an interview with People magazine.

“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here. I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time”, the actress said at the time.

Sandra, who with her sympathy and personality gained the nickname of America’s sweetheart, found happiness not only in children but also with photographer Bryan Randall, whom she also hid from the public curiosity for a long time, after a stormy divorce from Jessie James who shamelessly cheated and humiliated her.
