Famous musician Bryan Adams attacked the Chinese on Instagram and Twitter on Monday because his tour was canceled due to a coronavirus. His tour supposed to begin that very day with a concert in London.

Bryan posted a video of him performing his song “Cuts Like a Knife,” and next to it, he wrote a text that the public rated as racist.

“A song by me. Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the @royalalberthall, but thanks to some fucking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands that have suffered or died from this virus”, he wrote in the caption of his video.

The 60-year-old singer added: “My message to them other than ‘thanks a fucking lot’ is go vegan. To all the people missing out on our shows, I wish I could be there more than you know. It’s been great hanging out in isolation with my children and family, but I miss my other family, my band, my crew, and my fans.”

He announced that he would perform a small part of the songs he was supposed to sing on tour via social media in the coming days. Adams had an identical post on Twitter but deleted it. However, the singer left it on Instagram while banning comments. His outburst met with numerous negative comments.

Take care of yourselves and hope we can get the show on the road again soon. I’ll be performing a snippet from each album we were supposed to perform for the next few days. “Well, after this nonsense, I’m glad your tour was canceled,” “I hope this message follows you on all future gigs,” “I can’t remain a Bryan Adams fan after this. Man, well, that’s racism!”, some of his fans wrote.

After facing a public backlash, Bryan apologized for his coronavirus rant on social media. “Apologies to any and all that took offense to my posting yesterday,” he wrote in the new post.

“No excuse, I just wanted to have a rant about the horrible animal cruelty in these wet markets being the possible source of the virus, and promote veganism. I have love for all people and my thoughts are with everyone dealing with this pandemic around the world”, Adams admitted.
