Baby Archie Resembles Her Royal Father Prince Harry

Meghan con el bebé Archie y el príncipe Harry

Baby Archie celebrated his first birthday on May 6, 2024, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have blessed us with a new video of the youngest royalty. And the little boy looks like his father when he was a baby.

The video is actually very sweet, and to be honest, they probably never would have been able to share something like this if they hadn’t given up on the duties of the royal family in January 2024.

In the video, posted on the Save With Stories Instagram account to benefit Save The Children, Archie sits on his mother’s lap while reading his favorite book, Duck! Rabbit! by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld, for him (and everyone watching). Harry took the video of the two from his Los Angeles home.

However, Archie isn’t really interested in the book, and Meghan struggles to get him to help her turn the pages and pay attention in the funniest way. At one point, he gives Harry a blank look as his son insists on turning the wrong pages and you can hear Harry laugh and help make “squawking” sound effects for the duck.

Archie finally gives up and takes a second book off the floor and tosses it, making his father laugh again.

Archie and his dad are the spitting images of the other

Prince Harry and Archie have much more in common than a sense of humor when it comes to books. They also look alike! Of course, they are father and son, after all, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but the similarities are pretty striking.

When you look at the official portrait of Prince Harry around the same age as Harry, you can see that they share many characteristics. Just look at some from side to side below.

This is not the first time that the couple has shared photos of their son, but it is one of Archie’s most compelling visions so far. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also included it in their official 2019 Christmas Card. The family also shared a glimpse of Archie on New Years Day as well, hopefully now that they’re in Los Angeles and don’t have to follow all the royal protocol, they will soon share more photos and videos.

Harry, Meghan and baby Archie are adjusting to their new life in Los Angeles

Since leaving the UK, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and baby Archie have settled in a rental house in Los Angeles while searching for a more permanent location. They have also been kept busy with their respective charities and volunteering together.

One of the first paparazzi photos taken of the couple when they moved to LA was when they volunteered for the Angel Food Project, bringing meals to people in the community, dressed in masks and gloves and everything. Zoom calls have also been uploaded on behalf of philanthropy.

Returning was always the plan, which they stated in their announcement that they were going to retire from the royal family in January. The couple wrote on Instagram: “We now plan to balance our time between the UK and North America, continuing to honor our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our endorsements. This geographic balance will allow us to raise our child with an appreciation for the royal tradition in which he was born, while providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. ”

The family is sure to do great things and hopefully, little Archie will inherit his parents’ philanthropic genes as well, along with Harry’s red locks.
