The tattoo artist Daniel Silva is arrested and booked for murder after allegedly drunkenly driving a car, which led to Corey La Barrie’s death. “Ink Master” star is to be held responsible for killing the YouTube star in a car accident, according to Aceshowbiz.
Silva was arrested on May 11, while he was still in the hospital, treating his injuries from the accident. The car crash occurred on May 10, during which Daniel was behind the wheel, and Corey in the passenger seat, TMZ reported.
Daniel lost control of the McLaren sports car and then crashed into a street sign and tree in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Valley Village, according to authorities. He exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene, but he was “stopped by citizens who came to render aid”, LAPD press release states.
Corey La Barrie suffered life-threatening injuries, unlike the driver. They were both transported to the hospital, but Corey succumbed to his injuries soon. Reportedly, Silva is being treated for a broken hip.
Aceshowbiz writes that two friends earlier that night went to a party to celebrate Corey’s 25th birthday. Eyewitnesses say Daniel was seen drinking before going out for a dive with YouTube star.
Corey’s brother, Jarrad La Barrie confirmed the sad news, writing on Instagram: “This isn’t something I thought I would ever have to sit here and type out for a very long time or what I wanna do right now, but everyone deserves to know, my brother Corey passed away last night in a car accident with his drunk friend driving.”
He continued: “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this without you. I miss you so much already this isn’t fair thank you for always being the best big brother I could ask for I love you so f**king much life’s never gonna be the same without you R.I.P.”.
