Like the real housewives who pulled the fabrics before her or Vanderpump’s Rules’ sorry, souls in SUR who are caught in an endless cycle of waiting tables between cat fights, GG is the Perfect Star of Reality, but it is difficult to say that it is for the right reasons.
Bravo has painted GG’s life as a series of conflicts and pain, and it’s definitely addictive to watch it, but when the cameras go dark, things don’t exactly calm down. It’s hard to know how much the cameras make up for, but underneath GG’s tough exterior is a girl who had to endure some serious things. Fortunately, she always manages to come out on top. Here is the untold truth of Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi.
Her marriage was doomed and she knew it immediately
Shahs of Sunset fans have seen Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s divorce play on the small screen. According to MY! News, the reality star married Dash Dolls’ Shalom Yeroushalmi just a few weeks after he proposed in Times Square, but it took GG even less time to realize she had made a big mistake. In an interview with ¡MI! News’ Zuri Hall, Gharachedaghi revealed that less than 48 hours after walking down the aisle, she regretted her decision.
GG never believed in marriage and admitted that she was “forcing [herself] to see a [future with Yeroushalmi]” despite the fact that they had only been together for four months before marrying spontaneously. She wasn’t even wearing a wedding dress, opting for jeans and a turtleneck.
All of this made her want to vomit, which is not a good sign for a newly married couple. Less than two days later, it was clear that her values did not align with those of her new husband.
GG claimed that Yeroushalmi “wanted a wife immediately” to “take care of him”, cook, clean and become pregnant. “I’m usually more of a man in a relationship, so I’ll never do that,” she said to Hall, adding, “much less put a ring on my finger for you and then start doing it. It will not happen because of that. me.” According to Page Six, GG’s marriage lasted only seven weeks and their divorce was finalized in late 2018.
GG started using drugs when he was 11 years old
Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s problems run much deeper than the occasional on-screen phenomena. The star had a troubled past that started long before she was famous. GG told Fox News that she had been “kicked out of 10 schools that grew up fighting wherever she went.” Beyond that, she also had a substance abuse problem.
In an episode of MI! News’ Just the sip podcast, GG revealed that her ‘massive drug past’, which consisted primarily of cocaine and cannabis use, began when she was just 11 years old, a time when most American girls still play with dolls. The reality star didn’t even bother to hide her drug use from her parents, who had migrated to Los Angeles, and instead chose to craft an elaborate lie.
“It was the first generation, so the easiest mechanism for me and my sister for our parents was, ‘Well, the parents of our American friends let them do it,'” she said. “And my parents said, ‘Oh.’ You know, so they didn’t want to be wrong.” It wasn’t until 2005, after GG had been using drugs for almost 14 years, that he registered for rehab.
Weed helped GG find her purpose
Golnesa Gharachedaghi could have gone to rehab in 2005, but she didn’t reach her so-called “breaking point” until 2016, more than 20 years after she started using drugs. According to her interview with Just the Sip, the star never went back to difficult things, but there is still one drug she uses: medical marijuana.
Anyone who has seen only one episode of Shahs of Sunset knows that GG is a queen of weeds who started using the drug to treat her rheumatoid arthritis at her mother’s initial suggestion. In one episode, he even took dramatic “last puffs” before receiving an embryo transfer as part of her IVF treatment. Call it your highness, but the substance is more than one of GG’s favorite pastimes.
In 2018, she announced the launch of her WüSah cannabis business, and then showed off her initial range of products on Instagram, claiming that the substance literally helped her find her life’s purpose. “I have found that purpose through cannabis,” she wrote. Many of you will make fun of me. Many of you will support me. I just hope that you continue to follow me and watch the evolution of the great healing that occurs with WüSah. I am almost in remission all of you. I am living proof. This works!”
GG’s fight with rheumatoid arthritis is serious
Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s fight with rheumatoid arthritis is far worse than casual Shahs of Sunset fans may even realize. In an interview with Everyday Health, The Star revealed that her symptoms started with numbness on her hands when she was 27 years old. Since then, the disease has grown to affect 30 of her joints and cause a host of complications, and the star even turned to alcohol to help her cope. According to People, Autoimmune disease may also have triggered GG’s traumatic 2019 ectopic pregnancy.
In a February 2024 Instagram post, GG revealed that it was not easy to regain your body healthy enough to carry a pregnancy. After her miscarriage, she went through another round of IVF. Although successful, her RA symptoms became “10 times worse than ever,” especially since she was unable to use cannabis as a treatment. “As soon as this baby is out, I’m rolling a fat joint and healing myself with cannabis again,” she wrote.
Now that she has given birth to a healthy boy, she revealed that her symptoms have not yet subsided. “It’s scary that after holding it for just 10 minutes, my arms and hands are numb due to my rheumatoid arthritis and it hurts a lot to hold my baby all day,” she wrote in an Instagram post. Hopefully, that fat joint helped at least a little.
She believed her terrifying ectopic pregnancy was karma
Golnesa Gharachedaghi could not have known that her IVF treatment would eventually lead to what she described as “probably the most traumatic moment in [her] life”. After her embryo transfer in April 2019, the star was rushed to the hospital to undergo emergency surgery for a rare ectopic pregnancy.
In an interview with People, the reality star admitted that she was concerned when she started detecting in the weeks after the transfer. It wasn’t until her first ultrasound at the five-week mark that doctors realized that the egg had actually implanted in her left fallopian tube.
They gave her several rounds of methotrexate, a powerful drug commonly used to treat cancer and rheumatoid arthritis, in an attempt to dissolve the gestational sac, but it didn’t work. By the time she had her emergency surgery, she was “doubled over in pain” and both fallopian tubes had to be removed. “The sack was not dissolving and was about to break, which would have killed me,” he said. People. “I’m lucky to have it in enough time.”
About a year after the ectopic pregnancy, GG wrote a heartbreaking Instagram post blaming herself for the terrible experience. “I firmly believe in karma and I think I have done bad enough, that this is my karma cycle,” she said. “This was just a lesson.” Girl there’s nothing you could have done to deserve that.
Say how you really feel
Golnesa Gharachedaghi and Mercedes Javid have been through their ups and downs over the course of Sunset Shahs for eight seasons, but there seem to have been far more casualties than highs in recent years. At BravoCon in 2019, GG claimed that MJ was her “biggest rival.”
“She knows how to make you love her and need her,” she said to The Daily Plate, adding “And then she comes out of nowhere like one of those little snakes and catches you.”
In Season 8, it seemed that GG and his enemy had found common ground over their struggles with fertility. When Gharachedaghi became ill during the group’s trip to the Boots & Brews music festival, Javid jumped up to take care of his co-star. Apparently, that wasn’t good enough, even though the mysterious GG disease turned out to be nothing more than a little lactose intolerance.
In an episode of Watch What Happens Live, GG claimed that Javid was not being honest at the festival. “This is how his genius works, his manipulation,” she told Andy Cohen via video chat. “She shows that side of herself and then, as soon as you put your guards down, all of a sudden, like Mike said, those little… pinpricks come out of nowhere and you say, ‘Oh, God.'” Mike Shouhed, who was also a guest on the show, disagreed. Meanwhile, MJ still hopes that the couple can reconcile.
This bad girl may not be so bad
No one is confusing Golnesa Gharachedaghi for the pretty one in Shahs of Sunset. You really just need to look into her various clashes with MJ, the venom she spits on her ex-husband, or even her own admissions.
“I am a spoiled brat, and I will always be a spoiled brat,” she said. Fox News in a surprisingly self-aware interview. Although GG has clearly been chosen as the bad girl from Shahs Little Corner of Los Angeles, it may not actually be the truth. If we’re looking at Sara Jeihooni, who joined the series in Season 8, or they’re all just as horrible, picking who to fight with like roulette, or Shahs The Resident Villain is actually one of the best in secret.
In an Instagram post, the rookie cast member revealed that GG was the only person in the Shahs crew who was kind to her when she joined the series. “Sitting next to the ONLY GIRL who was kind to me throughout the season. Thank you GG for always showing love and supporting me many times when you didn’t have to, “he wrote. “And they all swore you would be so ab! + € h … hahaha.” Honestly, none of us saw that coming.
Turning real on going under the knife
Bravolebrities are not really shy about plastic surgery. Sometimes they are shy to admit it, lest we forget the drama that followed when Melissa Gorga’s The Nose Job of New Jersey was discovered. Unlike Gorga, Golnesa Gharachedaghi does not apologize for her plastic surgery, which includes a nose job that basically transformed her into a different person.
In a 2018 Instagram post, GG revealed, “I was born with some, I paid the rest. Say what you want but my plastic still brings all the kids to the playground”. So what has GG done?
In the past, Gharachedaghi has been candid about her breast enhancement and hard work. She said Lifestyle that she went from 34B to 34D after the weight fluctuations “made [her] boobs saggy.” She also used »laser lipo« to transfer fat from the back and sides to the hips and booty.
Then there is all the Botox and the filler. In an episode of Shahs of Sunset, which was recapitulated by The Daily Dish, the reality star went as far as claiming that the needles were “the best” and that getting filler was “like therapy” that helped her cope with the loss of your pregnancy.
“I started making fillers when I was 27 years old,” he revealed. “You feel amazing, you feel fresh. I have my cheeks [injected]. Under my eyes What else have I done? Lips … Well, we know I’ve filled other places.”
All single women
Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s fertility struggles have been well documented in Shahs of Sunset, and although she had a brief marriage, her plan was always to be a single mother. In an interview with The Daily Dish, The Star revealed that divorce rates made her want to opt-out for not participating fully.
“You just have this elaborate wedding and party, it’s really nothing more than that. And that becomes a divorce, and it is generally when the child is 3, 4 years old and has to go through that separation situation,” she reflected.
“A lot of kids go through that where their parents hate each other or just don’t get along. I’d rather my son end up seeing me have a partner or maybe a partner in the future that I get along with.”
According to People, Gharachedaghi, who was induced early due to her arthritis, finally used a sperm donor to conceive. Although she wasn’t dating at the time, she wasn’t interested in marriage and couldn’t “necessarily see [herself] with a life partner forever,” she revealed that she always wanted to be a mother. “I can start a family and have my child without having a relationship right now,” she explained.
Repeat it?
Rheumatoid arthritis is not Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s only physical struggle. In 2017, the star revealed that she was born with a rare form of hearing loss. Fans saw her visit an audiologist during an episode of Shahs but what they don’t know is that GG only has 28 percent of typical hearing abilities, and her attempts to wear a hearing aid were not entirely successful.
“For 35 years, I never heard these sounds, and then, for a second, I hear everything, so I can no longer tell what I hear,” she said. “It is really confusing, it is difficult to explain, but it is as if someone was blind for 35 years, you finally give them vision, they do not know what they are seeing.”
Although GG admitted that she trusted lip reading and body language, there is one amazing thing she was able to hear: her baby’s heartbeat. In an Instagram post, the star revealed that it was “the most beautiful [she’s] ever experienced.”
The truth behind the meat sister
In 2017 Shahs of Sunset aired what could have been the most uncomfortable Thanksgiving dinner ever, and you thought your family was mean. During dinner, Golnesa Gharachedaghi had a direct confrontation with her sister Leila Gharache when Mercedes Javid went out of her way to calm things down (a rare moment considering MJ is generally at the center of Shahs most explosive drama). The sisters seemed to end the episode on good terms, but that was short-lived.
In an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, GG refused to acknowledge her sister entirely, but what could have happened that was so bad that he resorted to a petty slur on live television? Well, apparently, it took a long time to arrive.
Co-star Shervin Roohparvar, who appeared on WWHL alongside GG, weighed in to clarify: “They’ve always had this rivalry, and you know, I’ve seen it disappear … but when they’re good it’s great, it’s amazing, but when they’re not It is exactly the opposite.”
At the Shahs After Show, MJ revealed that the couple was barely speaking in 2017. In fact, Gharache didn’t even know that GG had divorced. It seems that things have been arranged, however, as, at the time of this writing, Gharache was at GG’s baby shower in 2024.
Giving birth amid a global pandemic
Golnesa Gharachedaghi gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Elijah in late April 2024. However, there were many events related to childbirth, as it was intended to be induced just as the new coronavirus outbreak soared in the United States.
A month earlier, the star tweeted that she was “freaking out about having a baby while everything is falling apart… You’re entering a world of chaos, my son.” Although hospitals have tightened restrictions on the delivery room due to the virus, Page Six reports that GG’s sister accompanied her to the hospital and that she gave birth at 8:50 pm
“Having a baby during this unfortunate pandemic is difficult,” GG revealed in an Instagram post. “But it is nothing compared to the many obstacles that lie ahead. It was definitely a little scary to be in the hospital knowing that this extremely contagious virus is everywhere, but it is also scary that I don’t have all the answers to give my son when he asks me certain questions like ‘Who is my dad?'”.
As of this writing, hopefully, GG and Elijah are isolating in Los Angeles and maintaining their social distance from others. At least there is no way to get bored in quarantine with a newborn.
