The drastic weight loss and one of the biggest physical transformations of the British singer Adele left everyone in shock and disbelief, and many are still wondering how she managed it.
Adele, 32, has lost over 88 pounds, allegedly thanks to a strict diet, although some experts claim that her change is the result of some aesthetic procedures.
But her secret, apparently, has now been revealed by doctor Dominique Fradin-Read, who collaborated with the pop star and who claims that the secret of losing weight lies not only in exercise but also in the mood and mental health.
Adele collaborated with a personal trainer and expert from Los Angeles who gave her some top tips to make a complete makeover. Fradin-Read says that losing weight does not only mean exercising, but lifestyle changes also play a significant role in everything. She claims that mental health and feeling good in your own body are just as important as diet and exercise.
“I start by telling my patients that when it comes to weight loss, diet and exercise alone will not be enough in most cases”, she said to Us Weekly and continued: “That is why many patients that come to us have tried to lose weight, they did lose somewhat but put everything back on and often even more. For a successful and sustainable weight loss, we need to look at the whole person and not just address the weight up front.”

As Adele’s former London-based personal trainer, it’s disheartening to read negative commentary and fat-phobic accusations questioning the genuineness of her amazing weight loss. In my personal experience of working with her through many highs and lows, she always marched to the beat of her own drum on her own terms. She never undermined her God-given talent in any way. She let her incredible voice do the talking, or should I say singing! She never once pretended to be something that she wasn’t. What you saw was what you got. And we all LOVED it! When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super skinny. It was about getting her healthy. Especially post pregnancy and post surgery. When 25 dropped and the tour announced, we had to get ready for a 13 month gruelling schedule. In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices. Since she moved to LA, it’s been well documented that she underwent some tough personal changes. So she revealed Adele’s secret to losing weight, but also added that the singer swore to herself almost on the military regime of functioning, which was confirmed by her personal trainer Pete Geracimo.
“She quit smoking, reduced her drinking, got rid of sugar, and stopped eating processed foods. She made healthier food choices and is training regularly,” Geracimo said.
