Boston is the place to be during the fall season. The leaves turn into burnt and bright colors and the weather becomes moody. There are so many aspects of autumn that a person living in Beantown should experience.
1. Explore Just Outside of the City
Fall is for apple and pumpkin picking, but you have to go beyond Boston! Head to Chestnut Hill or a local farm on the outskirts of Boston to take in all the autumnal festivities. Pick up some candy apples and a liter of cider, too.

Get Into Spooky Season With These Fall Activities
2. Skate on Frog Pond
Although the weather is not permitting yet, soon enough, people will be skating along Boston Common’s Frog Pond. Closer to Christmas, this area will seem like a much more mellow version of Rockefeller Center in New York City!
3. Go See a Show in the Boston Theater District
Going to see live performances close to the holidays is always a fun way to get in the spirit of things. Visit the Boston Opera House, the Emerson Colonial Theatre, or the Schubert Theatre the experience joy on a stage. There are showings of A Charlie Brown Christmas at the Schubert Theatre already!
4. Go to Some Hockey Games!
Boston is known for its college and professional hockey teams, so why not go to Boston University game at Agganis Arena and a Bruins game at TD Garden!
5. Go on a Day Trip to Salem
Although spooky season has passed, the atmosphere in this wildly witchy town is still festive in November! Walk around the small boutiques that sell crystals and incenses. After, make sure to visit the Salem Witch Museum.
6. Be Proactive and Shop for the Holidays
Stroll along Newbury Street and browse for your loved ones before the hectic holiday shoppers hit the stores. Hit up the Prudential while you’re at it, as well!
7. Walk the Freedom Trail
Just before the Boston weather becomes unbearable, spend some time outside, learning about the history of America!
8. Visit A New Coffee Shop
Forget about Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts this autumn! Try a local coffee shop and ask for a seasonal drink.
Get out there and FALL in love with Boston!
Lover of all things escapist.
