Especially in regards to original material. However, one band based out of Union, New Jersey has proven this to be a false statement. Full of energy, soul, and innovation… Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, The Wedge.
The Wedge is a four-piece band, and since the group has been together, it has seen some extremely talented musicians come and go. As it stands today in 2018, this monstrous four-piece consists of legendary Dave B (Vocals), Pat Tintle (Bass), Joe Rock (Drums) and the infamous Zach Tyler on guitar.

For those of you have not had the delight of seeing these immensely talented musicians in person, let me break it down for you. Each band member plays a crucial role in the dynamic sound of this band, however, Dave’s vocals really take the audience on a soulful roller coaster of emotion and he is undeniably a huge catalyst of energy for the audience and band as a whole.
It would be hard for anyone to pick a favorite member of this band. Joe does a remarkable job at holding the music down and provides some incredibly tasteful drumming. Pat is an immensely talented bassist and provides some of the catchiest bass lines, I have yet to hear. Last, but certainly not least, is Zach Tyler. Some of you may recognize Zach as the lead/rhythm guitarist of the “The Dead Flowers”. For those of you who are familiar with this side of Zach, you know as well as I do, his guitar playing and stage presence is truly another animal, and it is an absolute pleasure to witness him perform.
The Wedge’s hook is that not only are each of these musicians extremely talented, they know how to put on a show. If you are in attendance for a Wedge concert, be prepared to get involved and be a part of the music. The band as a whole has quite the stage presence, and frequently asks for audience participation, whether this participation is through instrumental or vocalization assistance, is always a surprise.
If you are looking to catch The Wedge live in an area near you, you may be in luck. The Wedge will be performing at Mad Liberation Festival on August 17, 2018. Be sure to follow them on Bandcamp and on Instagram.
