Every once and a while we should indulge in some sweets to reward ourselves for our hard work in school. Whether you aced an exam or finally did an assignment that you were procrastinating, like me, there’s always a time to treat yourself. So below are my top five picks for dessert places located around Penn State that will surely satisfy your sweet tooth.
Momotaro is an Asian dessert place that has beautiful cakes, chocolates, smoothies and bubble tea. It is also the only place in State College that features rolled ice cream with a variety of toppings.

Love donuts and ice cream? Happy Buns gives you the best of both world. Happy Buns offers ice cream sandwiches made from a warm and toasty glazed donut.
Cafe Wow is a great place to hang out with friends and drink bubble tea. They also have crepe cakes in a few different flavors, such as green tea, vanilla, tiramisu and chocolate.
Looking for a place to chill and grab a cup of coffee and donut? Well, Duck Donuts is the place for you. Duck Donuts offers an assortment of unique donuts, like orange icing with a vanilla drizzle, blueberry icing with a lemon drizzle, s’mores, etc. I recommend the maple icing with chopped bacon. If you don’t like those flavors, you can always just build your own made-to-order donut.
How can I write a dessert article for Penn State without including the Berkey Creamery? The Creamery is for-sure the most well-known ice cream place in State College as it has been around for over 150 years. Sadly, you can’t mix the flavors of ice cream. But look on the bright side, now you’re just gonna have to go back for more.
Growing up, I was a really active person. I did things like basketball, skiing, gymnastics, band, yearbook club, honor societies, martial arts, etc. But I enjoy traveling and learning about history (I know, you’re probably thinking “Well that’s boring”). Although I can be active, I also just like simply just watching Netflix or something.
