My Spring Break in... Alabama? Spending a Week in the Deep South
If you’re like me, you’re on a tight budget every week so you really have to plan out how you spend your money. When it comes to Spring Break, it can be hard to plan a trip that is both fun and affordable. However, there are a few ways to ensure that you have an awesome break while also not breaking your bank.
This will save you hundreds of dollars on plane tickets, and who doesn’t love a good road trip? My roommate and I were trying to think of where to spend this spring break, and we looked into places like New York and Boston. However, plane tickets were around $600 round trip, and that was on the cheaper side. After realizing flying was probably not the way to go, we began looking into places close enough to drive.
“Dive” A New Track by Beach House
Why would you waste nearly $100 a night at a hotel when you can spend $40, maybe less, on a cute Airbnb? If you look on the Airbnb website, you will see that they have places everywhere. You select how many rooms you want, how many people will be traveling with you, and where you are traveling to. From there, the website directs you to a page that has hundreds of choices for you to select from. At the end of the trip, you’ve saved hundred, and you got a little taste of what it’s like to be a resident of the city.
If you’re lucky like me, you have friends that live all across the country. So, if you can’t afford to drop the money on an Airbnb either, try to plan your trip to a place where you can stay with a friend. Of course, check with the friend to make sure it’s ok before you plan your entire trip.
It all comes down to who you’re spending the break with. As long as you’re surrounded by friends, you’re bound to have a great time!
