There are three things that make for a successful nightclub:
No matter where you are, trying to find a nightclub that meets the requirements above is extremely hard to find. Even in Miami where people rave about the clubs in Wynwood, South Beach, and Brickell, it’s still a mission to find that diamond in a sea of coals. And as someone who isn’t a fan of the party life, I’ve just come to accept that I would never find that place for me.
Until I attended Purdy Lounge in Miami Beach, FL.

“Ocean’s 8” Makes for a Satisfying, if Not Entirely Surprising, Heist Movie
This lounge quickly became my number one spot not only for the Spring Break but for whenever I come down to visit. The venue has a good selection of seats, is split into two rooms and it’s very dark, which honestly makes it perfect for people to dance like there’s no one watching. I couldn’t say the same about The Wharf because although the venue is spacious and right by the water, the drinks were very overpriced, the mix of music was weak, and it was extremely overcrowded.
While there’s this high standard to dress your absolute best when going out in Miami, Purdy’s only dress code is no tank tops or athletic wear, which makes it easier for both guys and girls to enjoy the evening out without having to deal with the pain that comes with wearing high heels and trying to hide the sweat stains on your dress shirts.
But the main reason why I recommend Purdy Lounge more than anywhere else is the music. The selection of music is strong and fun, not once does the DJ settle on a certain genre like most places do. From Pop, Rap, Latin, R&B, Reggae, Rock, and even songs from the 1960s, the DJ’s only care about one thing, which is to make sure that the crowd is dancing from the moment they enter to when the place closes.
So, if your coming down or are already in Miami for Spring Break, you all should definitely check out Purdy Lounge.
Purdy Lounge is at 1811 Purdy Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139 and is open until 5:00am every day.
