If you haven’t heard any of these songs yet, then you are missing out! Here are some new tracks that have managed to steal our hearts completely.
So, I don’t know about you all, but there has been plenty of good music coming out lately, and it has been a wonderful treat.
Wit that being said, there are still many songs that have been unfortunately slept on that absolutely shouldn’t be. So, here I am sharing some of my favorite songs recently, and their deserving to be heard.
1. “Sunset Lover” by Petit Biscuit
Odesza-esque, Petit Biscuit better soundtrack my life. This single is an incredibly beautiful and mesmerizing track that could lull you to sleep or take you on a distant journey into your own world. I realize that this track deserved more love than it’s been given. So please, press play below, and lose yourself for a moment in pure bliss.
2. “Good Together” by Shy Martin
If you don’t know her name now, you will very very soon. This girl is not just a talented singer, but also songwriter! Some of her greatest co-writes include: “Bloodstream” by Astrid S, “Taped Up Heart” by KREAM ft. Clara Mae, “(Not) The One” by Bebe Rexha, “Raincoat” by Timeflies, “All We Know” by The Chainsmokers and Phoebe Ryan, “The Ocean” by Mike Perry, and many more! This track however, has been on my list of Spotify repeats this entire month, and I am still not tired of it. It has a thrilling, melancholic composition and her voice perfectly slips into the seams. With wavers and breathiness, her voice just creates its own soul, and when she swears, you just feel shivers run down your whole body. Press play!
3. “Casanova” by Allie X and Verité
IF YOU DON’T KNOW THIS SONG, WHO ARE YOU? It landed a spot on New Music Friday and rightfully so! Allie X is an emerging artist who has been both eccentric and captivating in her alternative-pop genre of sound. However, this song, took my love for her music to another level as she collaborates with the also emerging and talented artist Verité. This song is a powerful and eerie track that will make girls (and dudes too) who have had moments of heartbreak feel edgy and in control. A witty record, the lyrics and music are piercing, emphatic, and just down-right f’n amazing. Please, go listen, please.
4. “Told You So” by Miguel
Miguel might as well be the god of seduction and R&B and people can not wait for his new album War and Leisure to come out Friday, December 1st! “Told You So”, a track coming from the new record, is fun, erotic, and whimsical. The artists sings the track with his silky melodies and takes us on his trippy wonderful adventures once again. He never fails us. THANK YOU, MIGUEL! Watch below!
5. “Survive” by Saint WKND and MAX
Saint WKND has become a new artist on my radar after I heard this incredibly well-constructed track. Both lyrically and musically, this single is forceful, unapologetic, and ultimately bada**. Even the simple lyric video below is hype, and it all has to do with the way the drop and the composition ebb and flow with MAX’s amazing voice. If you need a great running song or an ego boost, here it is. Take a listen now!
6. “When We Love” by Jhené Aiko
Now, if you know me well, I am absolutely one of Aiko’s biggest fans and also her biggest supporters. This new album was fantastic, mystical, and majestic. Her royal highness creates sound waves that would caress the soul from within and carry you home to a place of nostalgia. Her love tracks have always been stunning, and she only reemphasizes that fact in this single.
So, ’tis the season to be sharing good music with friends! Go ahead, share this article with them, and show them what real quality is all about!
