Yes, the dreaded midterm week is here, and with professors cramming everything in before spring break the stress just increases. However, there are many movies that students can watch on Netflix and other streaming devices that will make midterms a little better.
One of the best movies about overcoming stereotypes and showing how powerful and smart women can be. Not only is it funny, but Legally Blonde can give us motivation to pass our midterms and write the perfect term paper.
If you miss partying because of midterms, look no further than the classic college movie Animal House. Although it’s a little dated and there are some offensive scenes too taboo for today, the best part about this movie is the craziness of John Belushi’s performance.
The best cure for stress is always a Disney movie.
In a slightly similar vain to Animal House, The Hangover is just crazy scene after crazy scene. It will also make you think about how fast spring break is approaching, and maybe cause some motivation to go find your “Wolfpack”.
If you are nostalgic about your high school days, then Mean Girls is the movie for you. With a screenplay written by Tina Fey (aka one of the funniest women alive right now), you are guaranteed for a good laugh, and might make you thankful that your high school days are over.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is the perfect movie if you ever wanted to go off-campus and have an adventure instead of going to class. The 80s classic will make you want to stop studying, rent a car with your friends, and drive to the nearest city for a day of fun.
Ok, so it is a very daunting task to watch all eight Harry Potter movies in a row and is the very definition of procrastination. However, the Harry Potter series is a classic and will cause you to be thankful that none of your professors are Dolores Umbridge.
