‘Mean Girls Musical’ Hits Broadway
This has to be one of the funniest podcasts out there. Hosted by comics Ryan Sickler and Jay Larson, each week a different comedian comes to the show and joins the two hosts in telling hilarious stories about their lives. The show has had amazing guests such as Bill Burr, Tom Segura, Todd Glass, Jen Kirkman, and Anna Faris. The chemistry between the two hosts and the guest is great each week, making this podcast very easy to listen to.
If there’s any one podcast that can better you as a person, it has to be this one. Hosted by comedian Pete Homes, this is another hilarious, but also at times moving, podcast. Running on the themes of comedy, sex, and religion, Pete Holmes brings in a different guest each week and discusses those three subjects. Holmes is a very open individual, which generally makes it easy for the guest to open up as well, because Holmes definitely does not shy away from taboo or awkward subjects. The diversity of guests is amazing. Previous guests include comedians and actors such as Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm, Andy Samberg, Jimmy Kimmel, Bill Nye (the science guy), priest Rob Bell, and even football player Aaron Rodgers! This podcast is interesting because Pete Holmes somehow gets everyone, even the most famous of guests, to show a side that the public has not seen before.
Hosted by comedian Bill Burr, this podcast manages to be captivating and hilarious, even with just one host. Burr, a veteran of comedy, uses this podcast as a platform to rant and rave about certain subjects. From sports to relationship advice to current news, Burr covers anything he feels like talking about. Mainly talking about what’s going on in his life, Burr manages to post a podcast every Monday morning and Thursday afternoon, each usually going over an hour. Occasionally bringing on a guest, Burr offers a different take on some news stories, and also shares events that have been happening in his life. Definitely give this one a listen, as the rantings of Bill Burr are constantly funny.
