KAABOO Del Mar is a three-day experience of music, entertainment, visual art, and culinary exploration. Just steps away from the Pacific Ocean and situated within a few hours of all major Southern California cities, KAABOO Del Mar is creating a weekend escape that will appeal to sophisticated concert-goers looking for a fully immersive experience.
Why the name KAABOO? According to festival organizer Bryan Gorden, “The name KAABOO came from an extended evening, which turned into early morning, sitting around the fire pit at a hotel in Del Mar with a half dozen of us. Magically, at around 5:30 a.m., the name KAABOO came like a bolt of lightning to one of us, and we all looked at each other and knew that we had found the name of our event.” According to festival co-organizer, Chris Brown, KAABOO defines fun and pleasure and is all about living life to the fullest, being daring and stepping out of your comfort zone–unplugging from our default world to let loose and have meaningful experiences. That’s enough to make us want to pack our bags and head there for this epic weekend IMMEDIATELY.
Imagine perfect beach weather, salt and sand, and three days of incredible performances across seven stages– headlined by [emuze]No Doubt[/emuze], [emuze]The Killers[/emuze] and [emuze]Zac Brown Band[/emuze]. Additionally, an out-of-this-world full scale food and drink experience from Palate and Crafty will leave festival-goers satisfied and fueled up for an incredible 3-day experience of music, art and overall feel-goodness.

Review: NOS Primavera Sound Proved Tyler, The Creator is an International Star
“At most live music events, it’s all about the music and there is modest attention paid to everything else,” KAABOO founder and CEO Bryan Gordon says. “We put a great deal of attention into everything else that surrounds the music so that there is a very strong ensemble cast. People are going to have a choice of more than 50 different restaurants, over 50 types of beer, more than 30 wineries selling 75 different wines and more than 30 craft spirits. You’re going to have a lot of choices, whatever you’re in the mood for.”
In addition, KAABOO ArtworK will showcase an array of visual stimulation from world-renowned contemporary artists and galleries, adding a unique facet to the KAABOO ‘mixperience.’ The inaugural Artwork roster features live mural painting, intricate sculpture installations, and unique exhibitions by globally acclaimed artists and galleries.
Meanwhile, $1 from each pass purchased will go to the “KINDNESS” charity program, created by KAABOO organizersbenefitting four local charities. The funds raised will be divided equally among the charity partners for support of programs directly impacting the local San Diego community. When purchasing passes, guests will be given the option of donating additional funds, with KAABOO matching each donation, dollar for dollar.
It IS a music festival after all, right? The lineup for the 3-day event is enough to make any true music fan jump for joy. Over 7 stages, the likes of Snoop Dogg, Foster the People, Slightly Stoopid, Cherub, Icona Pop, The Roots and so many more (over 100 acts!) will grace 3-day weekend in star-studded fashion.
