Taylor Swift finally released the video for ‘Look What You Made Me Do.’
Taylor’s latest single, ‘Look What You Made Me Do,’ is a dis track very much so lyrically pointed towards a certain rapper (and, more visually, his reality-star wife) following her beef with Kimye. From Taylor dressed in a fur, high-ponytail, and thick-framed glasses, taking selfies and “getting receipts,” to the simple lyric “I don’t like your tilted stage” directed towards Kanye’s latest tour, the video wasn’t meant to be subtle.
Kim Kardashian-West wasn’t the only one mimicked by present-day, blonde-medusa-served-tea-by-snakes Taylor Swift also imitated all of her previous selves. Outfit references date back to the singer’s video for ‘You Belong With Me,’ and perhaps most recently to her video for ‘Shake it Off.’
The singer’s past selves are all climbing on top of each other to reach present-day Taylor (according to the song, “old Taylor” is dead, remember?) in a dramatic, very un-innocent way. As for what, exactly, we made Taylor do: please let us know if you figure it out.
