Indie-rocker sister’s HAIM have treated us to yet another new track, getting us even more amped for their sophomore studio album.
The single, titled “Little of Your Love,” is an upbeat summer jam that draws on the feminine styles of Fleetwood Mac, whom the girls are often compared to. Known for their fresh indie rock sound, HAIM have really upped the ante with this track. It’s the third single off the album, following “Want You Back” and “Right Now,” and musically the most unique and memorable. The track itself is driven by heavy drum beats and funky electric guitar riffs, featuring the powerful vocal stylings these girls are known for. Following their highly-acclaimed 2013 album Days Are Gone, this single seems in line with the sister’s flare for elegant girl power. The single’s cover portrays the girls clad in modern, vibrant red attire, alluding to their feminine mystique.
The song was first introduced back in May when HAIM performed it on Saturday Night Live with their first single of the summer, “Want You Back.” Their upcoming album Something to Tell You is set to release July 7th and is their second studio album thus far. Their first album Days Are Gone carried an essence of innocence for these girls who were newcomers to the indie music scene, but with the release of this single, it seems their 4-year hiatus served to mature not only their sound but also their auras.
HAIM is just one of the few bands with new music in the works this summer, proving that this really is the best time of year. Be sure to follow our playlist on Spotify that’s updated weekly with all the hottest new music being released this summer!
