It’s the middle of the summer, folks. Why get caught up in drama? We all need to learn what true relaxation is by learning to let go.
Maybe it’s the heat or maybe all this free time is getting to me, but I’ve noticed that I personally had a problem with holding grudges and being pissed off for no reason. Why was I doing this to myself? All this complaining and bickering wasn’t doing me any good, and all I looked like was a FOOL.
Nothing is messier than a person that complains about the simplest things, when low and behold, there’s really nothing to be frustrated about. And in the summertime? IT IS NOT NECESSARY, PEOPLE. LET IT GO! Nothing is worth getting worked up over and your stomach tied knots for.
Holding onto things that don’t matter or things that are of the past don’t hurt anyone else but ourselves in the long run.
While we fester over the minuscule problems that we think are major, the other party(ies) involved most likely aren’t too stressed about it. While you think that someone is stressing about what YOU’RE doing, they’re probably getting on with their lives, and using their time wisely. Overthinking and dissecting everyone’s thoughts and intentions breaks you down mentally and will have you lose sight of the truth in reality. So learn to let go of the paranoia! Put down your attitude, your phone, and go out and do something productive. (Trust me, they aren’t watching your Snapchat story as endearingly as you think they are.)
Letting go is healthy.
When you finally decide to let go of things that aren’t actually important and decide to go with the flow of what life throws at you, you’ll find yourself with less pain in every area of your life. You’ll stress less, have more time, and care about your own personal actions more.
