Sharing music and discovering new songs, albums, and artists to listen to is easily one of the best things to do, and recently I was introduced to a new band called The Aces.
I’m personally very thankful that The Aces have been introduced to me as I now have a wonderful new artist to add to my playlists . Though their music has been compared to the likes of HAIM and traces of The 1975 can be found in their sound, the band carries their own distinct sound and it’s refreshing to see and hear genuinely good music coming from a musical group composed of only females.
This all girl band from Utah, released their first EP “I Don’t Like Being Honest,” back in June of this year. The four track EP consists of songs that include upbeat tempos and retro-pop vibes. The Aces have recently been signed to Red Bull Records and they have been making appearances at radio stations and performing at smaller venues all across the country.
With their music video for their single “Stuck” getting more views everyday, The Aces are definitely gaining serious attention. Local and Satellite radio stations such as Alt Nation have began to play their singles and The Aces are definitely making their way into the musical hearts of many.
Hopefully we can expect The Aces to release an album soon, and I’m personally excited to see how their sound will only continue to grow. While they have an interesting sound already with their distinct guitar picking patterns and funky drum and bass beats, I feel like an album will only secure their sound even further as they carve their way into the music scene. To keep up with all the music that this band is putting out, you can check out their website here, which will also help lead you to the rest of their social media platforms.
