Nothing is better than finding a new band to groove to. With their mix of indie-alternative tunes and an electric accent, Blossoms is THE band to put on your playlists immediately.
The Stockport-rooted band is steadily making their way into the American music scene and filling the shoes of brilliant UK bands before them, but with their own sound.
In comparison, Blossoms is like the new Tears for Fears and OMD. They have a newer sound, but listeners definitely get an 80’s new wave vibe from the band. They have a distinctive sound that is apart from the music scene today.
Not only does Blossoms have amazing music, but the guys from the band are incredibly humble.
You can hear it when they speak in interviews, they aren’t trying to get in your face and say that they’re the next gods to walk the planet. (And isn’t this video beautiful?!) They appreciate their small town, Stockport roots, and it seems as though they wouldn’t change it for the world.
It’s something special for a band to be born and grow up in the same exact small town and make it big from somewhere that isn’t well-known. They definitely have worked hard to be where they are, and have such potential for the future to grow even more. When talking about the making of the band and what pushed them to go as far as they can to excel, Tom Ogden states: “Things don’t change, you just get more ambitious.”
Blossoms is taking the stage in festivals across America.
Blossoms just completed their run with Coachella and performed both weekends with such vigor and enthusiasm. These last two years, the guys have been flooding the festival lineups and luring audiences in with their unique sound. With their festival run almost complete, the boys of Blossoms have already begun talking about starting a second album. (And we are so excited to see what else they’re going to produce next.)
With a band like this, there is no going wrong. Blossoms is definitely a band you want to keep your eye out for.
