Here’s a quick list to satisfy the foodie in you!
It’s Sunday morning and you probably are waking up from an intense night of deciding whether to hit Lucy’s or go to that random party at Euclid. You’re hungry, probably still a little bit turnt, and you just really want to sit down and talk about what the hell happened last night. I’m gonna do you a favor and give you a list of places where you can sit, be chill and where your squad can turn up with brunch:
1. Mother’s Cupboard
Having been on the famous TV show “Man vs. Food”, Mother’s Cupboard is your place for massive (and I mean bigger than your face) pancakes, frittatas and even fried fish for your palette to be loving every bite of this.
2. Stella’s Diner
Nothing like the feeling of having amazing good quality diner food with a local and hip crowd around you. From their home fries and onion to their italian sausage, this place will make you feel like you can sit down with your girlfriends and go in a “Sex and The City” mood with their homestyle cooking.
3. Modern Malt
A new twist to the typical brunch space. This hipster spot, located in Downtown Syracuse, is your next destination for the gram worthy plate of breakfast food. From their Fruity Pebble encrusted French Toast, that you didn’t even know you were missing, to their full bar with any type of “morning” drink that you can think you will be engulfed with pleasure in this new favorite spot.
Diverse, vegan, local and bistro are just some of the words that can describe the chic approach of brunch that Lofo brings to the Syracuse atmosphere. The selection includes vegan ice cream to fried rabbit to having mason jar water glasses. So, if you are looking for a tumblr enviroment, Lofo is the spot for you.
5. Rise N’ Shine Dinner
Now, this is a Dinner that follows and sticks to it’s american roots. From having the description of “The quintessential place”, it does give all you need for the Sunday morning vibes. From having a selection of gluten-free items, veggie filled options and meaty selections, your stomach will be happy to rise n’ shine for this diner.
6. Funk n’ Waffles
A classic spot for SU students to just indulge in, you guessed it, Waffles. From fried chicken with waffles to having a legit orgasmic selection of toppings and waffles, this place will leave with wanting more waffles than ever before. There’s a reason for Guy Fieri featured this spot in his show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.”
7. Mom’s Dinner
If you’re looking for a relaxed experience that will not take you that much energy or effort on that Sunday Morning, then Mom’s Dinner is going to be your place. Offering a classic menu of your favorite bagels with scrambled eggs and others it will make you feel like you are trapped in a throwback to your mom’s breakfasts.
So know go forth and turn up, but remember that the best part of your weekend is that first bite of whatever glory piece of brunch you get.
