Billed as the first of its kind in the United States.
New York University students interested in fashion are in for a real treat. NYU’s Stern School of Business will be launching a brand new specialized MBA program on Fashion and Luxury. According to the University, the program is billed as the first of its kind in the United States and features a one-year curriculum with students completing 51 credits of coursework focused on business, fashion and luxury, in addition to “real-world projects” to help prepare students for management roles within the fashion industry.
“The world is filled with promising designers who start labels that fail because they lack the business acumen to transform their innovations into viable businesses,” former dean at Parsons Simon Collins commented in an official statement. “By developing business talent that understands the creative side, NYU Stern will help close this gap by encouraging the kind of collaboration upon which successful brands are built.”
If you’ve ever wanted to enter the luxurious world of Fashion, now’s your chance. New York University’s new program will begin next year in May of 2018. The institute is now accepting applications, which can be found here.
