Who doesn’t love spending time with a loved one and with a ton of fuzzy pals in the city?
Everyone loves spending time with fuzzy little buddies, so why not bring someone you love with you? Have two things you love with you: animals and your love bug!
1. Citi Pups
This is a fun pet store in the West Village and in Chelsea. You can pet a puppy and if you are really feelin’ it, you can purchase one! The puppies are all so cute and friendly, so you will totally want to buy one.
It is a fun place, plus, Joe Jonas goes there.
2. Central Park Zoo
This place is a classic because it has animals from the real jungle in the concrete jungle. It is so pretty and there are a lot of romantic little spots to hang out in. There is a petting zoo with llamas, goats, cows, and many other furry friends. Your love will also definitely have a chance to see his or her favorite animal too. There is a wide range of species there.
If you are really feeling adventurous, you can act out Madagascar there. I would be the giraffe, just sayin’.
3. Cat Cafes
Love cats? I do, so I frequent cat cafes to get my feline fix when I am at school. My favorite is Meow Parlour on the Lower East Side. It is also an adoption agency so you can take a kitty home. Koneko is also an option. It is a bit more expensive ($12 per half hour while Meow Parlour is $6) but it is also modeled more after a traditional Japanese cat cafe.
4. New York Aquarium
Want to cool down in the summer heat? I certainly do, so I will be taking my S.O. to see some marine animals at the Aquarium by Coney Island. My favorite animal is the otter so I will surely head down.
The aquarium is the oldest operating one in the States and is currently still rebuilding after the damage from Hurricane Sandy.
Also, if you buy tickets online, they’re cheaper!
Now, get out there and hang with all of your furry friends!
