Renowned actor and comedian Charlie Murphy has passed away after battling leukemia.
Earlier Wednesday, actor and comedian Charlie Murphy, known for his memorable role on Chappelle’s Show and the older brother of actor Eddie Murphy, has passed away at the age of 57. Murphy, who was battling leukemia, passed away in New York City Wednesday morning, according to his manager.
Charlie Murphy had an spectacular career. He mad his first big screen debut back in 1989 as a part of Eddie Murphy’s ‘Harlem Nights,’ before than appearing in multiple Spike Lee films. It wasn’t until Chappelle’s Show that Murphy received his break, starring in skits involving stories about Rick James and Prince.
Charlie Murphy will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
