Unlike his studio album Views, it appears the new Drake release “More Life” will not be an Apple Music exclusive.
Drake is set to finally put out his newest release ‘More Life’ on Saturday. In previous releases, Drake has had a very close relationship with Apple Music. His studio album Veiws premiered on his Beats 1 Radio show OVOSOUND, and was an Apple Music exclusive for two weeks before it was released on other streaming platforms. He’s even appeared in a commercial for the streaming service.
This time around though, it looks like Drake is taking a different strategy. According to Pitchfork, sources close to Amazon have said ‘More Life’ will be available at the same time as the Apple Music release. Spotify also tweeted the promo video for ‘More Life’ from its official account, indicating it will be available there too.

The “playlist” as he calls it, has been a long time coming. Back in November, rumors put the release on December 3rd, which turned out to be incorrect.
‘More Life’ will be available March 18th. It will premier on Drake’s OVOSOUND radio show, which Apple told The FADER will be “epic and legendary”.
