In Jørn Nyseth Ranum’s ‘Northbound’, four skaters travel to the Norwegian coast to apply their skills in cold, unusual conditions.
This video of a few skater friends just kicking it and skating around the Norwegian Coast is blowing up and it’s a must watch. “Ice, driftwood, foamy waves and … skateboards? In this poetic short film, four skaters head north to the cold Norwegian coast, applying their urban skills to a wild canvas of beach flotsam, frozen sand and pastel skies. The result is a beautiful mashup — biting winds and short days, ollies and one ephemeral miniramp.” I could sit here and talk about the short film all day, but I’m sure you would rather see for yourself. You can also visit the film website to learn more about the creation and behind the scenes. Check it out above, Enjoy!
