Music’s biggest night also provided us with some of the best musical performances so far this year.
It is hard to even narrow the best performances at the 2017 Grammy Awards down to five, but there were some real standouts. So, here are my top 5 2017 Grammy Performances.
5. Katy Perry featuring Skip Marley
Debuting her new single, Katy Perry went for a more serious tone than usual. However, the performance was a success, with a strong message at the end of it.
4. A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes And Anderson .Paak
One of the most political moments from the night came from the performance from A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, and Anderson. Paak. Calling for resistance at the end of the performance, the artists definitely made a mark on the 2017 Grammys.
Yes, Beyonce is not number one on this list (put those pitchforks away). While she did have a great performance and caused a lot of social media to go absolutely crazy, really she didn’t really do that much singing. The theatrics were fantastic, but personally, I don’t think this is the best performance from Queen B.
2. Chance The Rapper
The Best New Artist definitely delivered during his Grammy performance. The combination of rap and gospel brought the house down, and the emotion that Chance The Rapper put in his performance was astounding.
1. The Prince Tribute (featuring The Time and Bruno Mars)

The Prince tribute was everything Prince fans could have asked for. From Bruno Mars’ guitar riff to The Time’s dance moves, this was a great tribute to one of the most legendary musical performers of all time.
