Sundara Karma gave an unforgettable performance in London.
Indie rockers Sundara Karma played to a sold-out Alexandra Palace (10,000 cap) two nights in a row supporting Two Door Cinema Club this weekend in London.
Singer/guitarist Oscar Lulu, lead guitarist Ally Baty, bassist Dom Cordell, and drummer Haydn Evans played songs off their debut album, Youth is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect. Their music has an atmospheric quality- in addition to making quality rock music, Sundara Karma doesn’t shy away from a more sensitive use of guitars, allowing them to cover a wide range of musical styles on their first album. They dovetail nicely with the rest of the lineup- Two Door Cinema Club and Circa Waves- with their upbeat pop-rock track “She Said”, long wavy hair, and growing fan-base in the indie scene.
Expectations are high for this four-piece from Reading, having been compared to Arcade Fire and U2 by the Guardian, but their performance seems to delight established fans and early-birds for Two Door Cinema Club alike.
