Due to Beyonce’s pregnancy with twins, Lady Gaga will be replacing her as a headliner at Coachella.
After flying through the ceiling in Houston, Texas performing the halftime show for the Super Bowl, Lady Gaga announces to be headlining for Coachella 2017. Lady Gaga will be taking the place of Beyonce who recently released the news of her pregnancy with twins. Doctors suggest that it would be safe for Beyonce and her family if she didn’t attend Coachella this year. However, Beyonce will be headlining Coachella in 2018.
Thirty-year-old Lady Gaga will be headlining both weekends of Coachella, April 15th and April 22nd, in Indio, California located at the Empire Polo Grounds. After the announcement of Beyonce, it was in search to hopefully fulfill her spot in the line-up with a female vocalist. Lady Gaga will be the first female artist to headline for Coachella since Bjork in 2017. Gaga will be headlining with other artists including Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Lorde, and many others.
After her Joanne album release in 2016, 2017 looks to be the year for Lady Gaga. She kicked it off with her stunning performance during the halftime show for the Super Bowl following her performance at the Grammy’s beside the heavy metal band, Metallica. She’ll be continuing her magnificent stage production in April for Coachella and then falling into her Joanne World Tour a few months later. Gaga’s tour will kick off August 1st in Vancouver, Canada at Rogers Arena and continue through Mid-December.
