However, after going to Mugar Library for the five-hundredth time, it might get a little draining. Luckily, Boston has a ton of cool and unique places to set your books down and study the day away.
This place happens to be one of the most popular college coffee shops in America, so this seems like the number one place to hit the books in the Boston area. Even though Trident gets crowded often, the good food and atmosphere make studying there worth it.
Ok, going to a library might be a little cliche, but the Boston Public Library is an exception. The beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere make it a must-go for any hard-working BU students.
This regional chain is very popular with college students across the Boston area. The delicious coffee and baked goods complement its casual mood, which makes it a very popular spot for college students for any occasion (including finding some hangover food).
Once the weather in Boston gets warmer and nicer, the Charles River Esplanade is a perfect place to study for that upcoming exam. Located literally right next to BU, the park provides a nice break from city life and the docks on the Esplanade provides a great place to sit down and get to work.
Like the Charles River Esplanade, the Public Garden and Boston Common provide a nice escape from city life (even though they are in the center of Boston). Once the weather gets nicer, people will come sprawling to the parks and will become a nice break from Mugar Library.
Who doesn’t want ice cream while cramming for a final exam? JP Licks is one of the best ice cream places in Boston. Even if it gets crowded, the ice cream is absolutely worth it.
When Thrillist declares you as one of the best coffee places in Boston (along with Pavement), you know you’re in for a treat when you visit Thinking Cup. The popular spot on Newbury St. includes great baked goods and exceptional coffee.
Located right by BU’s West Campus, Blue State Coffee provides a welcoming and patriotic atmosphere (when you walk in there is even a Bill Clinton quote written on the wall). There is also a variety of sandwiches to order from, and 2% of Blue State’s sales go to charity. For West Campus residents (and BU residents in general), Blue State is one of the best places to study.
