The online music and arts festival will offer an alternative to Donald Trump’s Inauguration festivities being held the same day.
All jokes aside, on January 20th our nation is going to get ROCKED. If the idea of celebrating the inauguration of Donald Trump makes you want to run to Canada…never fear! Music is here! It’s in our power to be able to remember January 20, 2017 as something more than a political apocalypse. There is another way, and it’s an online music and arts festival of like-minded individuals that has been dubbed Streamstock 2017!
Jam Base laid down the law, explaining that the online streaming platform “will offer an alternative to the Inauguration festivities being held the same day. Streamstock 2017 is an online music and arts festival ‘of the people, by the people and for the people’.”
Streamstock boasts a litany of amazing artists that you just can’t miss! The Grateful Dead’s original drummer, Bill Kreutzmann, will debut his new band, Bill Kreutzmann’s Rooster Conspiracy… finally! Other artists performing for a variety or progressive causes include Umphrey’s McGee, Lettuce, Reed Mathis & Electric Beethoven, Holly Bowling, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, The Garcia Project, David Gans, Eufórquestra, Hot Buttered Rum and San Geronimo. This groovy assortment of artists plan to bring more than just musical magic for your eardrums. The overall goal of the event is to “raise awareness for progressive causes,” and begin standing up as people united in love against our society’s corrupt institutions.
You can stream the whole show through the Streamstock 2017 Facebook page here!
PLUS, if you want to share your voice and truth, the Streamstock organizers are taking submissions from YOU! Simply send in a YouTube video link(s) of an original performance. Anything from original songs, poems, spoken word, or anything psychedelically visually awesome. You also have to explain your truth, mission, cause. Don’t forget to send in a link to your music/artist/editorial webpage. Submit fast though because submissions are due on January 18. If you’re game, hit up email@example.com!
