The Oscar-winning Disney classic receive another makeover.
As we near closer to the release of Disney’s forthcoming live-adaption of ‘Beauty and the Best,’ the film has enlisted Grammy-winning singer John Legend and pop icon Ariana Grande to sing the film’s classic fairytale theme song.
Originally written in 1991 by Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken, the “Beauty and the Beast” song became an instant hit, even winning the 1992 Oscar for Best Original Song. Although the song was originally sang by Angela Lansbury, it later received a pop-duet makeover featuring Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson, which you can listen to above.
Focusing on the new adaption of the film soon to release, the classic Disney song will receive another makeover, this time seeing six-time Grammy award winner Ron Fair producing the song alongside Mitchell Leib, Disney’s president of Music and Soundtracks.
‘Beauty and the Beast’ is schedule to release in theaters on March 17.
