“Bring him over to the boxing world, and I’ll show him what it’s like.”
The Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight we’ve all been dreaming about has taken on step further to happening. Mayweather has offered McGregor $15 million plus a cut of the pay-per-view for what is one of the most-sought-after, highly-anticipated dream sporting events.
The offer follows McGregor’s originally demand of $100 million back in November of last year. Mayweather, who is 39-years-old and retired back in 2015 with a perfect record of 49-0, told ESPN that a McGregor fight would be the only thing that could interest him in making a return to the ring. McGregor even obtained a boxing license in California just this past December further fueling rumors that the potential bout could be inching closer to reality.
As Mayweather expresses: “I’m a businessman and it makes business sense. Everybody keeps talking about Conor McGregor. He’s blowing smoke up everybody’s a**. Dana White, the UFC — let’s make it happen. Bring him over to the boxing world, and I’ll show him what it’s like.”
