President Barack Obama presented Vice President Joe Biden with the award of awards: the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Joe Biden is having a better Thursday than you- or anyone else in America for that matter. Earlier today, President Barack Obama announced that his partner in crime for the last eight years, good ‘ol Biden, has been “the best vice president America has ever had.”
Man, and I thought being captain of B-team field hockey in middle school was cool. Anyway, this Presidential Medal of Freedom is a really big deal…bigger than sliced bread. According to NBC News it is the “highest civilian honor in the United States.”
Biden should never play poker, but at least the world knows his happiness was hella genuine. The Vice-pressie seemed almost moved to tears, taking the podium saying:
“This honor is not only well beyond what I deserve, but it’s a reflection of the extent and generosity of your spirit…I don’t deserve this. But I know it came from the president’s heart. There is a Talmudic saying that says what comes from the heart enters the heart. Mr. President, you have crept into our heart, you and your whole family.”
Barack was certain Biden was worthy is such immense award, stating that biden is “an extraordinary man, with an extraordinary career in public service.” Is Joe Biden the next Mother Theresa?
