Christmas music isn’t the only essential of this holiday season: Christmas movies are just as important.
There are many of them that don’t get old even watching them year after year. These are those essential movies if you’re feeling a little Christmas withdrawal…
1. The Santa Clause
Many of us grew up on this trilogy, even though the original will always be the best of the three. This movie is also always on the ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas more than once. Whenever it’s on, there’s no way my family won’t be watching.
2. A Christmas Story
One of the first Christmas movies that I have been introduced to and it will always remain a classic in my household. The leg lamp has become such an iconic piece that it has made it’s way into homes all around America. The humor is simple, the story is unique and fun for the whole family.
3. Home Alone
The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without this movie. Elf is a classic that has already stood the test of time and will only continue to do so. Will Ferrell’s comedy style fits perfectly with the comedy within “Elf” and year after year, this movie still doesn’t disappoint.
5. The Polar Express
Nothing says a heartwarming Christmas story than “The Polar Express.” This movie has been a steady film in the homes of many since its release and it will continue to stay that way. It’s a story that can light up the room even more so than the Christmas tree. And so it deserves to be watched every year.
