A video has surfaced of Marcus Vick pushing a cop and running away form police as they tried to arrest him outside of gym.
While being arrested on an outstanding contempt of court charge, Marcus Vick decided to make a run for it. He shoved one cop out of the way outside of a gym in Newport News, Virginia then took off like he was running towards an end zone. He gave up running and stopped at an intersection to sit down. A cop approached him with a gun pointed at him to make sure he didn’t run away again. Check out the video above.
People will always talk about what could have been when discussing Marcus Vick. Marcus is younger brother of legendary NFL quarterback Michael Vick. Like his older brother, Marcus was a quarterback for Virginia Tech. He was an athletic freak as he was known for dropping back to pass then taking off to run downfield. He led Virginia Tech to an 11-2 record in 2005 and a win in the 2006 Gator Bowl. Sadly, Marcus wasn’t drafted into the NFL due to many concerns about his behavior on and off the football field. After his time at Virginia Tech, Marcus was charged with a DUI, driving with an expired registration, assaulting a police officer, and was forced to pay a settlement in a case where a girl claimed he provided her with alochol and marijuana while forcing her to have sex with other men.
The video above was just released and is Vick’s the most recent run-in with the police. He’s been ordered to serve one month in jail along with several fines. At the age of 32 and a long ways away from his last stint on the football field, I think it’s unlikely that he plays football ever again. However, I hope he can get his life back together and clean his act up so he can avoid jail time in the future.
