As Lehigh’s Women’s Basketball team goes into their last home game of the regular season, take a minute to get to know one of the captains, senior Kerry Kinek!
Name: Kerry Kinek
Major: Supply Chain Management
VCLehigh: How old were you when you started playing basketball?
Kerry: I started playing basketball when I was four years old in my back yard with my siblings!
VCLehigh: What’s one thing you’d like the campus to know about the team?
Kerry: “I would like the campus to know that our team has an awesome culture. We are well-rounded individuals who care greatly about academics as well as helping the community. Many of us are involved in student-athlete initiations such as SALSC, SAC, and SAM. These are all programs that help in community service around Lehigh and the surrounding community.”
VCLehigh: “What has been your most rewarding moment on the team?”
Kerry: “My most rewarding moment on the team was our playoff run last year. We upset Holy Cross and Army to made it to the championship game. It was awesome.”
VCLehigh: What’s your pre-game ritual?
Kerry: “My pregame ritual consists of eating pregame meal, taking a nap, going early to shoot, saying a team prayer, and then warming up!”
VCLehigh: What’s your favorite pro basketball team?
Kerry: “My favorite professional basketball team is the 76ers.”
VCLehigh: Can you give us a personal statement so the fans can get to know you more?
Kerry: “My name is Kerry Kinek, I am the youngest of five siblings. The most important things in my life are my faith and relationship with Christ, my family, and my friends/teammates. I will be working for a consulting company next year called GEP based in Clark, NJ.”
